CUHWC ANNUAL DINNER 2018 Another year of successful hillwalking has passed by, and we invite you to join us to celebrate over 200 active members, 11 completed trips, upwards of 30 socials, the thousands of miles driven, and of course, the innumerable beautiful hills..! WHERE: The Club Room, Churchill College WHEN: Friday, Feb 16th 2018 (6:45PM for Welcome Drinks, 7:30PM for Dinner) PRICE: £20 for a drinking ticket (including prosecco on arrival, wine & port) and £15 for a non-drinking ticket The meal will include a starter, main, dessert, tea & coffee, and port to follow. To keep costs low and accessible, the menu will be the same as for the Churchill formal that evening, so unfortunately we won't know the exact food plan until closer to the time (but will advertise this as soon as we do)..! Dress code: Formal Eveningwear PLEASE NOTE: Due to the capacity of the room, the number of places is limited to 30, so sign-up will be first come, first served (and we anticipate places going quickly)!

Our next CUHWC event with be brunch at Pembroke College - join us this coming Saturday from 11:30AM for some great food and chat! All are welcome, even (especially) if you haven't joined a hillwalking event before. We will first meet at the Plodge for 11:30AM, but will then make our way to the dining hall until brunch finishes, so feel free to meet us up later. You could even use it as an excuse to leave the confines of your bedroom/library (bonus: unlike your parents/nan, we promise not to ask how exam prep/dissertation writing is going!).

Haven't been to a CUHWC event before? No problem. Whether you want to learn about upcoming trips, fancy meeting some fellow hillwalkers, or just don't feel like another night of college grub, come along for as long or short of a time as you like. Plus, it's 2-4-1, so the more the merrier!

We'll be living it up with a black tie dinner in the room William Wordsworth lived in as an undergrad (fun fact: keen hillwalker, walking an estimated 2,500 miles a year, and night-climbing Snowdon shortly after graduating), prepared by the Michelin-starred chef at St. John's College. There'll be the traditional silly photos, the traditional silly speeches, and the traditional serious post-dinner drinks.
