Cooking wiki for Holwick trip, 25th - 27th Jan 2019

This is a wiki (editable web page) to organise cooking for this weekend’s trip to the Low Way campling barns in Holwick, Teesdale.

We have booked both barns so have two kitchens between the group. Both kitchens have gas hobs and fridges. There is no electricity other than for the fridges and lighting.

There are no ovens in the kitchen.

No pans, crockery or cutlery are provided in this bunkhouse. As per the kit list, please bring a plate, bowl, mug and cutlery for your own use. If you are running a cooking group you will need to make sure you will have all the utensils and pans your meal requires - please indicate underneath your meal if you require anyone in your cooking group to bring sharp knives, chopping boards, another pan etc.dxxx

Click edit at the top to change the text (you’ll need to be logged in to your account on the website first – click here to register if you don’t have one). You can either suggest a meal idea or join one of the existing ones and you’re obviously also welcome to sort yourself out (move your name to Independent). Please remove your name from the Not yet signed-up for meal list too once you’re in a group or have decided to cook alone. The person who suggests the meal is responsible for arranging the ingredients – everyone else in the group should bring money on the trip to pay for their share, and expect to help with the preparation and washing up.

Timetable

Nearby Pub (Strathmore Arms)

Bring some spare food in case of unforeseen pub-grub related issues. (the pub isn't super big so you will want to book a table if there's a few of you! - Sarah Ma)

I’ve contacted the pub, and they’ve had a death in the family and will be operating differently this Saturday. They can manage a table for 8 people at 6pm though. Just be sure to be back from walking before 6pm on Saturday and to have your name on this list by Friday afternoon before I make the final booking. - Elliot
